Granada - The Alhambra

Voting has begun in Granada for the Alhambra to be listed as one of the new wonders of the world. The fortress of Alhamba is the last symbol of Muslim power in the Iberian Peninsula, and was built by Arab troops in about 700AD. Muslim power disintegrated when Christian armies defeated Arab troops in the 12th century.
