Bath Thermal Spa

Memorable stay at Chestnuts House B&B. A really cosy place and the brekky was nice.

New thermal spa contrasted against the old Roman Bath spa buildings. We were up on the rooftop spa...

....and it was freezing cold!!! We loved the giant rain shower in the steam room (Denning would have enjoyed it!), and tried out the different smelling steam rooms - mint, eucalyptus and lavendar. Apparently you're supposed to stay in the steam room for a while whilst your pores open up for cleansing, followed by a cold shower to close your pores. But we couldn't stand the high temperatures - it felt like we were being cooked!

Refreshed after our spa experience. Wandering along Pulteney Bridge.

Bath Abbey - Garry misread the train ticket and rushed me to the Bath train station at 5.30pm when in fact the train was only returning to London at 7.30pm. So we had two whole hours to kill in Bath when most things were shut, but we were lucky enough to find a really nice home-made Gelati shop.
