Royal Crescent - designed by a some guy called John Wood who had a vision back then of transforming Bath into a mini Rome. This was designed to look like the Colosseum in Rome. Apparently each townhouse is now worth about 4 or 5 million pounds!
We visited Number One Royal Crescent - the first house to be built in the Royal Crescent - to see how a town house in a posh area would have been decked out in the 18th century bath. The kitchen was a highlight for me, especially the "dog turn spit" (they put a running dog inside a turning wheel to turn the roast spit...how cruel!)
Royal Circus - another creation of John Wood.
