Arrived in Madrid from London (we loved the curvy wooden panelled ceiling, must be a Gaudi inspiration, and the huge marble floor tiles) - waiting for our connecting flight to Seville. We were so lucky, we almost couldn't get on the flight to Madrid cos we got to Heathrow a few minutes after check-in counter closed. Begged the counter staff who managed to get us on the plane plus upgraded us to business class too. No idea how we scored that!
Arrived happily in Seville (council building in the background) - the town was decked out in chairs for "Semana Santa" - Holy Week in Spain. That was when the brotherhoods commemorated Easter by dressing up in their pointy hats and christian robes and marched along the streets together with the decorated floats.
Triana Bridge in the background - the Easter processions went along the bridge too. Triana is the party area of Seville and comes to life late at night. We were wandering around Triana at about 8pm and most of the restaurants and tapas bars were still shut.
Centre of Seville
Hotel Alfonso - the most expensive hotel in Seville. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have apparently stayed at Hotel Alsonso before.
Walking along the main street of Seville - the Avenida De La Constitucion, very pretty at night...
....and spotted Ding Dong along the way, reminded us of Denning! Garry just had to take a picture of it. The poor kid holding the balloon was probably traumatised by Garry stalking him.
