Keukenhof Tulip Gardens, Amsterdam

Looks like I have inundated our blog with lots of tulip shots. These gardens were so amazing that I think it's worth dedicating some blog space to these pics. I have never seen so many different types of tulips and so many of them. Apparently 7 million bulbs were planted by hand this season.

Garry eating his waffle in clogs.

Dutch herring roll - not our fave, very fishy and bony.

They call this the "Ice-Cream Tulip"

Tulips arranged into "Pipi" - a Dutch children book's character.

Our first time in a fokker jet. Was a little concerned about flying on such an old plane, but turned out to be an okay flight.

Farewell Barcelona!

Passieg de Gracia - behind Garry is the Casa Lleo i Morera, transformed by another Spanish architect, who was not as famous by Gaudi, but the building is still pretty nice.

Markets with a multicoloured roof.

Our hotel rooftop terrace

Our hotel bar - I liked the black chandeliers.

The famous La Ramblas

La Boqueria Markets - fresh food market

Spanish butcher - Garry bought some chilli chorizo as his "souvenir".

They had a big range of seafood, including all sorts of different shellfish, sea anemones, seaweed, etc.
