We walked from our hotel (in the background) all the way to the top of the other end of Fira in search of the famous blue dome featured in many of the Santorini postcards.



We found the famous blue dome but was told later that the famous one was in Oia. Eug reckoned there were so many blue domed buildings everywhere that any one of them could have been the famous one.

We walked too far to care and it was boiling hot - this was nice enough for us even if it wasn't the one we were after!
