Sunday (25-03-07) - Garry was very proud of his fried kway teow, and I kept saying that it wouldn't turn out because he had never cooked it before. It was more a "Galvin thing". But it tasted really good, on par with the kway teow we had at Selfridges.
Slightly disadvantaged - no proper flame, we only have an induction stove, and no fresh clams (just frozen ones). Wonder how Galv's kway teow turned out, he was supposed to be cooking the same thing too. Galv and Garry spent hours in Chinatown by themselves on Saturday, apparently they were exploring every Chinese grocery store. They have also found a new challenge- to try every single Chinese resturant in London before they leave.
Enjoying the fruits of Garry's labour (but mind you I did the washing after). Finally found some good chilli sauce - spot the Singapore Yeo's chicken rice chilli sauce! It's very difficult to find good chilli sauce in London, we've gone through a few crappy ones, but of course there's always the ever reliable chiu chow chilli oil.
