Thurs (21-12-06) - A much happier bunch on the Champs-Elysee!
The Arc de Triomphe - watch our for the cars - no speed limit around the Arc!
Lisa found a yummy corner Patisserie shop - fresh baked chocolate croissants, apple pastries and strawberry tarts! Gosh, how do French ladies stay so skinny?
Denning - the ladies' man! (plus the famous Parisian landmark - it's the "Eiffel Tower" - for those who may get the Arc confused with the Eiffel Tower....hehehehe)
Bombarded a lovely couple (whom we kept bumping into during the DC walking tour) and begged them to take a group shot for us! Chinese lady in the background posing with the Eiffel Tower so it looks like she is pushing it over (I thought that was only done with the Leaning Tower of Pisa!)
Napoleon's Tomb - saw this the last time Garry and I came for our honeymoon, but obviously was not very memorable for Garry. He insisted he had never seen it before and made our guide (Denning) detour to see the Tomb, and when we arrived at the Tomb, Garry suddenly realised he had seen it before. Our guide's response: $#@*!!!!
Palais du Luxemborg - this used to be a hospital, but is now a popular tourist spot. It has really nice gardens and a fountain (but not in use). For Uncle Lin's sake, this was where the Korean drama "Lovers in Paris" was filmed (the scene where the main actor and actress cycled around the fountain and where the girl left the guy just when he went to buy ice-cream).
Garry taking a picture of me taking a picture of Den, Lisa and LC (with Notre Dame in the background, well you will see it later).
