Deborah in London!!

Friday (3 Aug 2007) - Deborah's first day in London. She was still bright and cheery after her long flight from LA. We took her to see the iconic Tower Bridge, had to remind her that the Americans were silly enough to buy the wrong bridge (hehe).

I love the colour of the sky in this picture!

Sat (4 Aug 2007) - We spent the afternoon at the Tower of London.

Spot the line behind to see the Crown Jewels!

We did a walking tour with the beefeater. Spot him in the background!

Deb has this thing about taking pictures with all quaint English icons like this beefeater, or with a telephone booth, double-decker bus, taxi, and a bobby (informal term for an English policeman, I only just learnt this from Deb, the tourist).

Gallery of the horses that used to serve the royal members many years ago.

How tall are we?!

Sister act - we were standing behind this wooden cabinet whilst being filmed.

Torture chamber - they used to tie the legs and arms of convicts to the apparatus and pulled the ropes from both ends to break their limbs.

Conquered the Tower of London!!

Trying to look scary in our bobby hats!!

A model of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

In the evening, we watched "Love Labour's Lost" at the Shakespeare Globe Theatre.

Spot Deb in the background!

Freaked out here...I was worried about Deb falling off!

Felt sorry for the groundlings who had to stand for the entire play. Groundling tickets are only five pounds each.
